Two youths drowned while bathing in Ganga in Begusarai, Bihar. People somehow saved one of them from drowning. While the other youth could not be saved from drowning and he died. After this incident, there was chaos among the family members. The incident took place at Nayagaon Ganga Ghat of Nayagaon police station area. The deceased person has been identified as Om Kumar Jha, son of Praveen Jha, a resident of Sonpur village of Nayagaon police station area.

Family members said that Om Kumar had gone to Ganga Ghat with his three friends to take bath in Ganga. While taking bath in Ganga, Om Kumar Jha and his friend started drowning. Seeing both of them drowning, the local people tried their best to save them. In this effort, somehow a young man was saved from drowning. Whereas Om Kumar Jha could not be saved.

The family members of the deceased said that a lot of search was done, but Om Kumar’s body could not be found. Today, when the search was done again, after a lot of effort, Om Kumar Jha’s body was recovered from the Ganga river ghat. At present, the local people informed the Nayagaon police station about this incident. After that, the police reached the spot and took the body in their possession and sent it to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for postmortem. At present, the police has started further action. According to the information, the deceased Om Kumar Jha was a student of class tenth.
